PADI SCUBA DIVER

Scuba Diver is a fantastic introduction to scuba diving, and you can complete it within just one and a half days. Upon completion, you will be certified to dive with a diving professional to a maximum depth of 12m/40ft. You will learn all the basics of scuba diving, buoyancy skills, including ascents and descents, buddy diving techniques, and more. To gain your certification, you will complete a combination of practical skill assessments and knowledge review quizzes. The course consists of three knowledge development sections, three confined water sessions and two open water dives. These are the first parts of the Open Water Course, and later on, if you choose to progress to this certification, your Scuba Diver experience can be credited towards it.

Every year, millions of people around the globe complete the PADI Open Water Diver course to become certified scuba divers. PADI’s most popular course begins by teaching basic scuba skills, learning about the equipment (including dive computers) and safety skills and progresses to doing five confined water dives and four open water dives, all under the supervision of our staff. Assessment is through a combination of practical tests and Knowledge Review quizzes. It takes an average of three to five days to complete the training and become certified. If you’ve already tried a PADI Discover Scuba Diver session or have a PADI Scuba Diver certificate, it may be credited towards your Open Water Diver course.
