A snorkelling trip is a MUST when you’re in the Maldives, and here at Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa Maldives, we have snorkelling trips to different spots, and the most popular one is whale shark snorkelling. Next to the whale shark, another favourite is the manta and turtle quest snorkelling. For a more thrilling snorkelling experience, try the guided night snorkelling at the house reef. Every morning and afternoon there is a scheduled snorkelling trip, but if you wish to do it in your own time, private trips are also available. To join the guided snorkelling trips, you must know how to swim with snorkelling equipment or, if you prefer, with a life vest. You can also sign-up for a quick snorkelling lesson to make you more confident in the water.

SEMI SUBMARINE
Bring the whole family and enjoy a scenic ride aboard the semi submarine. This vessel is half-submerged in the water, and the below deck has a comfortable seating arrangement next to a wide-angled window providing guests with a spectacular view of the underwater marine life. Safe and suitable for all ages, you and your family can join the morning, afternoon and evening trip or any time of the day if you prefer a private trip. However you choose, this exciting excursion will surely be one of the highlights of your holiday.

If you haven’t seen them in the wild, it can be an exciting and fun experience to watch them swim freely alongside or in front of the boat. Sometimes they even put on a show jumping out of the water while spinning. It’s a truly incredible experience to see and witness how these vivacious creatures are in their natural habitat. We highly recommend this trip, especially for kids.

Learn the techniques of this traditional handline fishing. Ask our team to share their secret on how to catch a fish. While at it, enjoy the beautiful sunset as you patiently wait for your catch. On request, the resort chef will prepare your fresh catch in the restaurant for a supplement.
